Tuition and Mentoring

Online Tutoring

I offer online tuition to students studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics at secondary and tertiary levels. I am happy to take on clients from around the world and have a proven track record of top marks achieved by my students. I also tutor for the medical entrance exams, mainly focusing on the UCAT and UCAT ANZ.

I have created and will continue to create free-to-access advice for applying to medical school in the UK. You can check out my Personal Statement guide, my advice on work experience, my guide to the academic and extracurricular requirements of medicine, and even my own personal statement dissected. I am also working with Becoming a Doctor to create free content for aspiring medical students.

Below you can see my YouTube video explaining the structure of the UCAT exam.

If you would like personalised help and advice on your application to medicine or dentistry, please do fill out the contact form. I have created several custom built courses for mastering the UCAT, writing your personal statement and preparing for interviews. See below for some examples of my packages, and get in touch for pricing.

The Four Week UCAT Crash Course

Four sessions of one to one tuition with me, spread across four weeks. Each session we will focus on different aspects of the UCAT exam, identify areas of weakness and create a tailor made practice schedule for the following week.

Having a weekly tutor gives students a sense of accountability, increasing motivation to study and improve. Working through questions alongside a tutor allows students to recognise recurring mistakes and devise tactics to better manage their time.

The Group Four Week UCAT Crash Course

Similar to the one-to-one UCAT Crash Course, these group sessions are an affordable alternative. Group sessions can be with up to three other students, so each student will still receive individualised tuition and guidance.

Personal Statement Masterclass and Editing

A one off masterclass to kick start your personal statement, followed by two redrafts and editing sessions of your personal statement. This session will allow applicants to highlight and identify areas they can write about, encourage reflection, and build a tailor-made plan for the personal statement. The redrafts are an opportunity for the applicant to receive feedback on their personal statement from an experienced medical student, in order to improve particular aspects of the personal statement.

I am also available for private tutoring for either GCSE or A Level Maths, Statistics, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring, as well as running peer-to-peer tutorials at university.

Additionally, I am offering premium one-to-one tutoring and consultation for the UCAT, UCAS personal statements and medical school interviews. Please send me an email using the contact form to inquire.

Please see below for my teaching resumé.

Tutor experience and information

I am currently in my fourth year of Medicine at Kings College London. I love the science, the person-to-person interactions and the life-long learning associated with a medical career.

The academic demands of applying to medicine are high, and as such I had to develop a strong work ethic as well as revision and exam techniques.

I used tutors for part of my final year of college, mainly for help with my A-Level Biology coursework. I found the help of my tutors invaluable, and without it I don’t believe I would have achieved the same grades.

I successfully studied Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level.

I currently freelance as a science tutor, private science teacher and run science clubs in various London schools. I am also available to discuss GCSE, A Level and university coursework.

I am aware that the current global circumstances have raised a lot of questions for students and parents alike, and I hope that I can provide some help with continuing student’s learning and studying during these uncertain times. Please do send me a message and we can arrange a free meeting to discuss.

Lessons with me will be tailored to individual students, but we will focus on exam technique, revision strategies and the skills needed to further understand the core concepts of the curriculum. I have developed and refined my own exam skills and techniques over the last few years and am certain that I will be able to help you find what works for you. We will work though exam style questions together, go over key concepts and review any areas of your course that you may be struggling with.

Feel free to bring as many questions as you must to each of our tutorials, we will work through how to approach exam questions, how to understand what questions are asking and how to structure your written answers.

I would be happy to work on personal statements and university applications of all perspective students, as I believe I have a good understanding of what universities, medical schools particularly, are looking for and will be able to help you to create a successful application.
